A HEALING PATHWAY
The full counselling sessions will follow our initial 30-minute assessment.
A six-week contract is then agreed, providing an opportunity to explore the presenting themes and, more importantly, to build trust and rapport between yourself and your counsellor.
This is followed by a review, to discuss progress and the way forward.
Ongoing sessions as normally required can be agreed on, based on these outcomes.
Leonie's counselling approach is holistic, treating mind, body and soul.
Her aim is to forge a strong therapeutical alliance based on mutual respect - offering a healing space, providing support for reflection and discovery. She works from a Humanistic and Integrative framework. This means working actively with you to develop your awareness about what may be preventing you from living your life to its full potential.
WHAT TO EXPECT: COMMENCING THERAPY
Your full counselling sessions will follow on an initial 30-minute assessment. This first conversation is a no-obligation, affordable session, offering you a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space in which you can explore your options.
We arrange to meet for 50-minutes on a weekly basis, usually at the same time each week. Throughout this period we will review progress every six weeks, until such time as the client feels ready to complete the work and a closing session is planned.
Once the client has decided to finish, a closing session is planned. This gives both client and therapist an opportunity to review the work and for further discussion and feedback. As every client is unique, so is the closing session.
